I know that it is already a few weeks into November and I should have written this article sooner, but today I stumbled on a website of the most brilliant ideas for the perfect Thanksgiving gifts. Obviously I did not want to wait another day to share these fantastic ideas with all of you! So here we go:
1. Saying Thanks
This is by far my favorite idea for a Halloween gift. When you see your friends or family after Thanksgiving dinner, give them each a card where you say what you are thankful for in regards to that person. For example: "Thanks mom, for always making delicious apple pies during the holidays" or "Thanks Jeremy, for being such an awesome brother." The possibilities are endless! And trust me when I say, you will be the most popular one there.
2. Dinner with Friends
This idea is great for those who want to go out and have a good time on Thanksgiving dinner but don't have anywhere to go after dinner. Instead of going directly from family's house to a bar or your place, why not invite a few friends over before? It might seem a bit early for that, but if everyone brings some wine and snacks it will feel just like a pregame. Your Thanksgiving day would become better with Friend T-shirt! Trust me on this one, I've done it every year since junior high and always had so much fun!
3. Pie Baking Kit
Who doesn't love holiday pies?! Whether you are the best pie baker in the neighborhood or can barely keep your apple slices shaped, this is the perfect gift for you! This kit comes with every tool and ingredient you could need to make a gorgeous pie: rolling pin, flour sifter, pastry blender… Also it includes an apron and oven mitts that will both look very stylish with your new apron.
4. Blanket Scarf Nothing screams
Thanksgiving more than warm scarfs! And if they are plaid AND fuzzy on the inside, what more do you need? Take advantage of all the beautiful fall colors while they last…
5. Turkey Beanie
Admit it, some days are just too cold to even leave your apartment or go outside. Well then build yourself a fort out of blankets and watch Netflix in style while wearing this awesome beanie!
6. Thanksgiving Candle
You can never have too many candles, especially for those chilly autumn nights. And if the candle smells like turkey and pumpkin pie? Well then it is a bonus!
8. Mini Turkey Coasters
A cute accessory for your coffee table or kitchen countertop for sure! Plus who doesn't love adorable animals very close to their beverages? …Don't answer that…
9. Thanksgiving Place Setting
Every family has their own way of setting the table and their own traditions. But chances are you probably don't use all those forks, knives, and spoons each day (or maybe you do…?) So why not write down all the utensils that your family uses and grab a nice tote bag for them? Your mom will appreciate it, I promise!
10. "The Year-Round Yummy Holidays"
Book I know this one is technically outside of Thanksgiving but who doesn't love holiday cookbooks?! This book, written by Claire Robinson Nastasi, is full of delicious recipes to make any time of year. So if you are bored with the same old pumpkin pie every Thanksgiving then give this book a shot! Plus Claire has a blog full of cooking tips so you will get to know her pretty well.
